Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Workday Analyst to optimize Workday across a global, multi‑module enterprise. You will lead design, deployment, and governance, mentor analysts, and partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Recruiting to shape talent, compensation, and time processes.

You will drive best practices, educate partners on Workday capabilities, and manage end‑to‑end release cycles while maintaining system stability. This role emphasizes cross‑functional impact and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Workday functional configuration and support experience.
• Expert-level Workday knowledge across HCM and at least one additional module (Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, or Benefits preferred).
• Proficiency with Workday Reporting, Dashboards and Calculated Fields.
• Strong working knowledge of Workday security roles, access controls, and data governance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Solid understanding of core HR processes and workflows (hiring, onboarding, terminations, benefits, payroll, time tracking).
• Prior HR, Payroll, or Finance experience, or demonstrated knowledge of HR processes and business implications.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering for new functionality and modules; translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and system design.
• Build, configure, and test new solutions in sandboxes; manage end-to-end deployment cycles.
• Drive change management activities to ensure smooth user adoption of new processes and technology.
• Partner with Workday implementation consultants and internal stakeholders to scope enhancements and validate solutions.
• Manage assigned production support cases and defect tickets; troubleshoot complex issues to root cause.
• Provide responsive, consultative support to end users; balance rapid resolution with long‑term system stability.
• Document issues, resolutions, and lessons learned to build institutional knowledge and reduce repeat incidents.
