Job summary

nVent Enclosure Systems LLC is seeking a senior Workday specialist to configure and optimize payroll, absence, and time tracking across global operations. You will lead deployments, define security models, and partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday experience required.
• Hands-on Workday configuration, security, and reporting experience with a specific focus in Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Workday Pro certification(s) preferred.
• Experience supporting a global organization in Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking is required.
• Agile experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Workday business processes, security, organizations, reports, dashboards, calculated fields, notifications, and integrations support.
• Develop and implement solutions across Workday modules including Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday configurations.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Lead Workday improvement projects from requirements capturing through deployment.
• Serve as the primary functional lead for new Workday releases, feature adoption, and optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate testing activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments with implementation partners and external consultants.
• Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, Shared Services, Payroll, Finance, and Compliance teams to provide strategic recommendations and education regarding system development, process improvements, Workday capabilities and established guidelines.
• Support change management and end-user adoption activities.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and audit readiness while supporting compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Set up and sustain role-based security while performing periodic security audits and access reviews.
• Ensure Workday configurations align with internal controls and compliance standards.
• Support SOX, privacy, and audit requests as applicable.
