Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Workday AI Solutions Engineer to collaborate with HR and IT, delivering Extend applications, automated workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled experiences. You will translate complex HCM needs into intuitive applications, automated workflows, and scalable production solutions.

You will design and implement REST/SOAP integrations, evaluate Workday AI capabilities, and establish reusable patterns while maintaining security and governance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on Experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Workday Extend applications in production.
• Strong understanding of Workday platform configuration, security, reporting, data models, and integrations.
• Experience with Workday integration technologies (REST/SOAP, Workday Studio, EIBs, Cloud Connect, Orchestrate) or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Partners with HR leaders and functional teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities to improve HCM processes using Workday Extend and AI capabilities.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and support Workday Extend applications that simplify HR processes and provide intuitive experiences for employees and HR teams.
• Evaluate and implement Workday-delivered AI capabilities and custom agents based on business value, technical feasibility, and security.
• Develop proofs of concept and iterate with stakeholders, moving solutions into production.
• Apply understanding of Workday security, data models, APIs, and integrations to ensure Extend/AI solutions fit within architecture.
• Design and implement integrations across Workday and third-party platforms using REST/SOAP, Workday Orchestrate, Studio, EIBs, and other tools.
• Configure permissions, domain security, and authentication in partnership with security and HR teams.
• Establish standards for development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and documentation of Extend/AI solutions.
• Monitor adoption, performance, API consumption, agent activity, and business outcomes to improve value.
• Stay current on Workday releases, AI offerings, and marketplace solutions and assess adoption opportunities.
• Communicate options, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote responsible AI practices with appropriate oversight and governance.
