Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Senior System Test and Automation Engineer for its R&D team in West Los Angeles. You will drive test plans, automate tests, and validate RF/wireless systems throughout development.

You will partner with hardware and software engineers to ensure robust test coverage, troubleshoot complex issues, and build scalable test infrastructure for next‑gen MANET radios and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in system test and automation.
• Experience in embedded firmware development, testing, scripting (C/C++, Python).
• Experience with wireless/networking in electronics R&D/manufacturing.
• Proven use of lab instruments (signal generators, spectrum analyzers) and RF test environments.
• U.S. citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and execution of full coverage test procedures for wireless and related systems.
• Define test plans with R&D engineers and implement test automation, troubleshoot, and qualify new designs.
• Collaborate with software teams to extend test systems for new features and configurations.
• Develop logging/analysis tools to measure performance of systems and test infra.
• Maintain lab test setups including RF emulation environments and equipment.
• Support testing through firmware/hardware changes and practical demonstrations.
• Travel domestically as needed to support experiments and demonstrations.
