Job summary

Silvus Technologies in Los Angeles seeks a Senior System Test and Automation Engineer to join the R&D team, leading test plans, automation, and validation of Silvus’ MANET radios and wireless products under development.

This on-site role at the HQ in West Los Angeles requires a strong background in embedded firmware tests, C/C++, Python, RF concepts and lab instrumentation, with a track record of delivering robust test solutions and collaborating cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in system test and automation.
• Experience in embedded firmware development, testing, C/C++, Python.
• Experience with wireless networking in electronics R&D or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with lab instruments and RF test setups.
• U.S. citizen due to government contracts; background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Own design and execution of full coverage test procedures for wireless systems and related products.
• Define test plans, implement test automation, troubleshoot, and qualify new designs.
• Collaborate with R&D and software teams to augment test systems for new features.
• Develop logging and analysis tools to measure performance of tests and setups.
• Travel occasionally for experimentation and demonstrations.
