Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking an Associate Research and Development (R&D) Test Engineer to join the R&D team in West Los Angeles. The role focuses on developing testing infrastructure and performing comprehensive testing, vetting, and demonstrations of wireless products under development.

The position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel for demonstrations and testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years electronics experience, or an Associate degree with 1 year experience, or a Bachelor or higher degree.
• Experience in testing embedded systems.
• Exposure to RF instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and channel emulators.

Responsibilities

• Wireless system test operation, implementation, and maintenance.
• Assist in designing and implementing testing software for automated testing and logging.
• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to understand performance requirements and validate designs.
• Conduct lab testing using RF channel emulators and other instruments.
• Conduct field testing to qualify system performance in a practical environment.
• Travel occasionally to support experimentation and demonstrations.
