Job summary

Silvus Technologies, an Irvine-based unit of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Senior System Integration and Test Engineer to join the Irvine Engineering team. You will conduct system integration and test activities, collaborating with design, sales, and product teams to drive development and verification of cutting-edge solutions.

The role requires hands-on testing of embedded firmware/hardware, support for customers, and up to 25% travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years in embedded firmware development and testing, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Proficiency with lab instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Employment is contingent upon successful background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Design and test complete solutions using Silvus hardware and software.
• Prepare integration test plans and execute them (firmware/hardware).
• Define new products and features and conduct product evaluations and field tests.
• Provide debugging and troubleshooting support to internal teams and customers.
• Test and harden features via firmware and hardware changes.
• Support Sales Engineering with demos, training, and bug reproduction.
• Create and maintain customer-facing documents (manuals, guides, videos).
• Travel up to 25% for on-site engineering support.
