Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, is seeking a Principal R&D Engineer to lead and contribute across the wireless technology development lifecycle. The role oversees design, simulation, verification, and prototype work within a senior R&D team, reporting to the VP of R&D. It includes customer-facing engagement and occasional travel.

The position emphasizes leadership, system-level thinking, and hands-on engineering across FPGA, software, and testing activities.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in wireless systems design.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience in technical project leadership.
• Participation in the complete technology development cycle: design to field testing.

Responsibilities

• Technical management of Research and Development projects and programs.
• Oversee system design and requirement specification.
• Setting and tracking development schedules and tasks.
• Participating in hands-on design, simulation, and verification work.
• Supervising relevant simulation, software, FPGA, and testing efforts.
• Travel involvement for customer interactions and tests.
