Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in the Field Service Department within your assigned area. You will lead a technician team with varying levels of expertise and liaise with customers, vendors, and senior management to ensure service excellence.

Responsibilities include managing projects, preparing quotes and schedules, supporting field operations, testing and commissioning equipment, and ensuring safe operation of 2-way radio systems across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in technical management in the wireless industry or similar.
• Experience developing, qualifying, and directing new business opportunities via customer interface and requirements gathering.
• Knowledge of vendor resources and network coordination.
• Experience managing complex project implementations.
• Understanding of business practices and P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and service assignments.
• Act as liaison between BearCom technicians and Motorola or end customer.
• Prepare quotes, bids, and schedules for installation and repair tasks.
• Organize and schedule upcoming field work.
• Provide field technical support and oversee installations.
• Check equipment performance and diagnose issues in the field.
• Train and coach field service technicians and installers.
• May travel up to 25% and work on-call as required.
