Job summary

Speechify seeks a Senior Windows Desktop Architect/Engineer to own the Windows product architecture and release cycle. You will drive design, performance, accessibility, and cross-functional collaboration with designers, QA, and product teams, delivering reliable, high-quality desktop apps for Windows 10/11+ using App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and occasionally C++.

Qualifications

3+ years of Windows desktop app development with Windows App SDK/WinUI, C#, XAML and preferably C++.
Deep understanding of interop between managed (.NET) and native code.
Proven track record delivering reliable, performant desktop apps.
Strong experience with accessibility APIs and inclusive software.
Solid fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, data structures, memory management.
Experience leading technical design, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration across product, design, QA.

Responsibilities

Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps.
Define best practices for code architecture, performance, memory usage, and cross-version compatibility.
Drive accessibility efforts: UI Automation, keyboard navigation, screen readers.
Collaborate with designers, UX researchers, QA, and product teams on long-term roadmap.
Own features end-to-end from conception to release and maintenance.
Identify and resolve complex bugs and performance bottlenecks with robust solutions.
