Job summary

Speechify is seeking a seasoned Windows desktop application developer to shape the future of its native Windows product. You will design, implement, and ship high-quality desktop software with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML, focusing on reliability, performance, and accessibility.

You will collaborate with product designers, QA, and cross-functional teams, own features end-to-end, and drive architectural decisions that impact millions of users leveraging Speechify's cross-platform

Qualifications

3+ years of Windows desktop application development experience with Windows App SDK, WinUI and C#.
Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed and native code.
Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop applications with focus on reliability, performance and accessibility.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and potentially C++.
Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase, including performance, memory usage, and cross-version compatibility.
Drive accessibility efforts: ensure UI controls, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support for a broad user base.
Collaborate with product designers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
Take ownership of full lifecycle of features from conception to maintenance, ensuring quality and consistency.
