Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Lead Technician to support Lookout wind site operations, maintaining wind turbine mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and sub-stations. The role emphasizes safe, efficient, and reliable turbine performance and cost-effective operations.

You will lead maintenance crews, inspect repairs, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring up-to-date manuals and technical data are maintained.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years turbine experience or 5+ years wind experience required.
• Independent turbine troubleshooting experience expected; able to work without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safe work practices at wind plants and maintenance activities.
• Inspect completed repairs and scheduled maintenance for quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on wind turbine equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of turbine components following procedures.
• Mentor and train lower level operation and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure documentation of work, parts, and time in service reports.
