Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Wind Technician to support wind turbine maintenance across our sites. The role progresses from Trainee through Level I–III, performing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical tasks with safety as a priority.

You will shadow senior technicians, document work, and advance through examinations within six months of hire. The position offers a structured pay range across all U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; within 6 months may be obtained.
• Able to climb towers up to 300 feet and work safely in confined spaces.
• Willing to travel and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude; no prior electrical experience required.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is preferred.
• Able to meet Clearway Energy Group's electrical safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and work under supervision in wind turbine maintenance.
• Shadow and assist experienced technicians with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical tasks.
• Document work, parts, and time using service reporting procedures.
• Operate and maintain service vehicles and tools.
• Work on-call as needed, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairs; progress through levels I–III.
