Job summary

Clearway Energy Group seeks a Lead Technician to support the Lookout wind site, overseeing the maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and ensuring safe, efficient turbine operations. You will lead crews, inspect repairs, read electrical schematics, and mentor junior technicians while documenting all work and maintaining equipment.

This role requires climbing towers, traveling as needed, and a background in turbine troubleshooting and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associates degree in electrical or technical and 2+ years turbine experience, or 5+ years wind turbine experience.
• 1+ years of independent turbine troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safe work practices related to wind plants and turbine repairs.
• Inspect completed repairs and maintenance for quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbine equipment.
• Perform maintenance and ensure proper procedures to Clearway standards.
• Lead crews and train lower level personnel as needed.
• Document work, parts, and time using service reporting.
• Update manuals, instructions, and turbine data.
