MasTec, Inc. seeks a Wind Turbine Technician II to manage daily operations and maintenance of wind turbines. The role includes mentoring Wind Tech I/II crews of up to 20, requiring extensive travel across the US.

A safety-first mindset and commitment to doing the job right the first time are essential. The position covers climbing turbines, diagnosing issues, and performing preventative maintenance, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; active status preferred
• TWIC card or ability to obtain one
• Wind energy degree or certificate preferred
• Minimum 2 years around wind turbines for troubleshooting or 1 year with degree
• LOTO safety practices familiarity
• Experience using basic power and hydraulic tools
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
• Ability to read/interpret basic drawings and schematics

Responsabilidades

• Promote and comply with safety policies and procedures
• Climb wind turbines and towers; supervise crews up to 20
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers daily
• Install, inspect, maintain, operate and repair wind turbines
• Diagnose and fix issues to prevent turbine shutdowns
• Perform routine maintenance and test electrical/hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions
• Service transmission systems and substations
• Mentor and train Wind Tech I/II
• Lead Wind Technician as needed
• Drive change during onsite audits to improve processes
