Job summary

MasTec, Inc. seeks an Electrical Technician II to perform maintenance and construction around wind turbines and high-voltage substations up to 345 kV. The role requires extensive US travel and a safety-first approach to ensure work is done right the first time.

You will work around wind turbines, interact with customers daily, and handle underground cables, pad-mount transformers, switchgear, and wind turbine wiring up to 34.5 kV. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical industry; electrical degree/certificate and 1 year experience is also acceptable.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/construct around wind turbines and high-voltage systems up to 345 kV.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers daily.
• Perform maintenance on underground cables, transformers, switchgear, and wind turbine wiring up to 34.5 kV.
• Attend safety meetings and complete safety paperwork daily.
• Diagnose and fix issues to prevent unexpected outages.
• Operate manlift, forklift, and skid steer when required.
