Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician II to support maintenance and construction around wind turbines and 345 kV substations.

The role requires extensive travel across the US and a strong safety focus to ensure correct execution on first attempt. Responsibilities include working in wind environments, interacting with clients, performing MSHA/LOTO procedures, and diagnosing issues on transmission systems up to 34.5 kV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of experience in the electrical industry or relevant degree/certification.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Ability to travel extensively for project work and site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Work in and around wind turbines and high-voltage equipment.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers daily.
• Maintain/construction on electrical collection systems up to 34.5 kV.
• Attend daily safety meetings and complete safety paperwork.
• Diagnose and fix issues to prevent outages or improper operation.
• Operate testing equipment and perform material management duties.
