Job summary

ENGIE is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support North American wind assets across the fleet. The role focuses on reliability, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of turbine performance.

You will work with operations, maintenance, OEMs, and contractors, traveling up to 20% as needed, and contribute to engineering standards, performance metrics, and project delivery. ENGIE offers a comprehensive benefits package and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical, electrical, civil, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting utility-scale wind assets with reliability/operations focus.
• Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve asset reliability, availability, and performance for ENGIE's North American wind fleet.
• Lead investigations into mechanical failures and perform root cause analyses to drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate turbine component condition using inspections, SCADA data, and engineering analysis.
• Develop and implement repair strategies, retrofits, and maintenance improvements for fleet performance.
• Create, maintain, and standardize engineering documentation, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams, OEMs, contractors, and stakeholders on reliability decisions.
• Lead or support fleet-wide engineering programs and pilot projects with clear findings.
