Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) is seeking a Turbine Engineering Manager to lead the Turbine Engineering team, ensuring reliability and performance across the wind fleet. You will guide technical direction, manage projects, and drive cost-saving initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

This in-office role requires on-site presence at least three days per week with hybrid flexibility. The candidate should have a strong engineering background, 10+ years of wind experience, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Requires 4-year engineering degree; master's or PE is a plus
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience; wind power experience preferred
• Strong understanding of mechanical system design and operation
• Experience maintaining and repairing wind turbines, including large components
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Excellent communication and team-management skills; able to deliver on deadlines with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical projects in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Lead turbine engineering team to improve plant performance and reliability
• Identify turbine issues and coordinate solutions with plant managers
• Develop programs to manage turbine productivity, including condition monitoring and maintenance
• Own the Integrity Management Program for wind turbines and approve team-recommended procedures
• Deliver annual budgets for turbine-related projects and operating costs
• Train and develop team members and report progress to management
