Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer (P2) to lead technical design, permitting, scheduling, and budgeting for wind, solar, and storage projects. You will direct a multi-disciplinary team and coordinate across Development, Interconnection, Real Estate, Operations, and Procurement to deliver projects safely and on time.

Qualifications

4-year engineering degree required.
3–6 years in power generation, preferably renewables.
Strong communication and scheduling skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25% and work on-site in Texas.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary engineering interface between Development, Interconnection, Permitting, Real Estate, Operations, Construction, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Project Management from the 30% engineering designs until final handoff to Operations.
Direct the activities of a multi-discipline engineering team and consultants to meet project requirements.
Finalize engineering exhibits for EPC contracts and support owner equipment agreements as needed.
Review EPC deliverables and respond to RFIs and submittals within milestones.
Ensure EPCs are provided with technical information for owner-supplied equipment.
