Job summary

EDF power solutions North America seeks a Senior Technical Training Specialist – Wind to design, develop, and deliver technical training for wind turbine technicians and operations staff.

The role requires extensive wind energy knowledge, hands-on training delivery, and ability to align training with safety standards (GWO). Bilingual English-French is preferred; travel may be required; 80% in classroom, 20% on-site vendor/customer visits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of as a wind turbine technician or engineer, with in-depth knowledge of turbine systems, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Technical degree or certification in wind energy technology; additional certification in technical training or adult education is a plus.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs in a corporate or educational setting.
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e‑learning development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update technical training materials and curricula for wind turbine technicians, including classroom, online, and hands-on training modules.
• Deliver technical training sessions on wind turbine technology, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Certify technicians and ensure compliance with industry standards such as GWO.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to trainees to support professional development.
