Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Wind Energy Assessment Analyst to join the Renewables and Power Advisory Group. You will evaluate wind resources, energy production, and project risk for utility-scale wind projects across the U.S.

& Canada, collaborating with engineers, meteorologists, and analysts. You will contribute to pre-construction and operational assessments, SCADA analytics, and AI-enabled tooling, communicating findings through reports and client-ready deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (meteorology, atmospheric science, engineering, physics, math, renewable energy or environmental science).
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in renewables or engineering consulting.
• Experience performing wind resource or energy production assessments.
• Familiarity with wind energy assessment methodologies and uncertainty analysis.
• Experience with wind industry datasets (SCADA, LiDAR, towers).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficient in reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support wind resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret meteorological and energy data.
• Contribute to pre-construction assessments, independent engineer work, and due diligence.
• Evaluate project performance, uncertainties, and risk.
• Support operational assessments using SCADA/production data.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Assist in automation, scripting, and AI-driven process improvements.
