Job summary

DNV Energy Systems' Renewables and Power Advisory Group seeks a Senior Wind Energy Assessment Analyst to join the Wind Energy Assessment team. You will evaluate wind resources, energy production, project performance, and risk for utility-scale wind projects across the U.S.

& Canada. You will collaborate with engineers, atmospheric scientists, and renewable energy professionals to deliver pre-construction and operational assessments, SCADA analytics, and wake loss studies, while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
• Five (5) years of directly relevant professional experience in renewable energy, engineering consulting, data analytics, atmospheric science, or a related technical field.
• Experience performing wind resource assessments or energy production assessments.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of wind resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale wind energy projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret meteorological, operational, and energy production datasets.
• Contribute technical expertise to pre-construction energy assessments and due diligence reviews.
• Partner with project teams to evaluate performance, uncertainty, and risk factors.
• Support operational energy assessments using SCADA and production data.
• Prepare and review technical reports, presentations, and customer deliverables.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and participate in technical discussions.
