Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Wind Farm Technician II to support safe and reliable operation of wind farms and related renewable assets. You will perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and system testing across wind, solar, and BESS assets, while following EHS requirements and site policies.

The role includes mentorship of Trainee and Associate Technicians and active collaboration within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in renewable energy technology or electrical systems is a plus.
• Current Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
• Wind Technician certification or other credentials with hands-on field experience are valued.

Responsibilities

• Performs safe and compliant operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind, solar, and BESS assets.
• Conducts scheduled services, major component replacements, and system testing for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnoses and resolves moderate technical issues; supports maintenance planning and RCA for recurring issues.
• Documents maintenance activities in the digital maintenance management system.
• Mentors Trainee and Associate Technicians and promotes safety culture.
