Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a Wind Farm Technician I to ensure safe, effective operation and maintenance of wind farms and related facilities. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and support safety and performance improvements across multiple sites.

The role involves leading or mentoring junior staff, conducting complex repairs, and maintaining detailed documentation, with on-call capabilities and travel as required. Strong safety focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in the renewable energy sector preferred.
• Unrestricted driver’s license and willing to travel to multiple sites.
• Advanced certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe operation and maintenance activities per site policies and EHS requirements.
• Lead installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of wind, solar, and BoP systems.
• Conduct tests, inspections, and detailed reporting after planned maintenance or outages.
• Lead retrofit installations and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and suggest improvements for system efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior staff; support cross-department collaboration.
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate findings to management.
