Job summary

Vestas’ North America Legal & Compliance Onshore Transactions group seeks a senior attorney to lead negotiation and drafting of turbine supply agreements and related contracts across the United States and Canada. You will provide strategic legal advice, manage risk allocation, and collaborate with sales, finance, project execution, and technical teams to balance commercial objectives with risk management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial transactions with contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience leading complex, high-value agreements in energy, infrastructure, or capital equipment sectors.
• Experience in global or matrixed organizations with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing external counsel and coordinating specialized legal support.
• Familiarity with project finance concepts and ability to balance risk with business objectives.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage drafting, review, and negotiation of turbine supply agreements and related contracts.
• Provide strategic legal advice on risk allocation and commercial terms for new equipment sales.
• Identify and communicate legal and commercial risks to enable informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and align with company policies and governance.
• Supervise external counsel as needed and mentor junior team members on transactions.
• Contribute to team capability through knowledge sharing and training.
