Job summary

Goldwind Americas is seeking a Senior Counsel to join the North American legal and compliance team in Chicago, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer. The attorney will provide practical, timely legal counsel across transactional, corporate, employment, compliance, and dispute matters to support wind turbine sales, installation, service, and related operations in the region.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school in the United States.
Licensed to practice law in Illinois in good standing.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on contracts, governance, employment, regulatory and compliance matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate domestic and cross-border wind turbine supply, installation, service, logistics, procurement and vendor agreements.
Support policy development, governance processes, and internal controls aligned with legal requirements.
Advise on litigation, arbitration, and coordination with external counsel; manage strategy and processes.
Conduct legal due diligence, identify risk areas, and support transaction closings.
Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance for business units.
Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
