Active Day in Clifton Heights, PA is seeking a Program Assistant to support individuals in daily living activities and participate in planning and facilitating therapeutic recreational programs. You will assist with meals, monitor safety, and help maintain a clean, uplifting environment for members and their care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• At least one year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Prior experience with seniors/adults with special needs preferred but not required.
• Engaging interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Flexible schedule required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsabilités

• Assist members with activities of daily living and personal care as needed (e.g., arrival and departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, therapies, rest room assistance).
• Assist in planning and facilitating creative and diverse therapeutic recreational programs and encourage member participation.
• Serve meals and snacks and clear tables; assist with feeding as needed.
• Observe members for changes in condition or unusual occurrences; escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain program areas, supplies, and equipment; ensure cleanliness, disinfection, stocking, and repairs as needed.
• Ensure member safety by monitoring activities and maintaining a sanitary, clutter-free environment; participate in safety training.
• Communicate respectfully with members, families, coworkers, referral agencies, and the community.
• Participate in staff meetings and cross-functional collaboration to improve member experience and center goals.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and regulatory standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
