Job summary

Active Day is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan, facilitate, oversee and evaluate therapeutic recreational programs for members. You will lead activities designed to entertain, promote health, and encourage interaction, while supervising staff and volunteers and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will support a positive work culture, coordinate with care teams, and help enhance the daily well-being of members in a center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BS degree preferred where applicable.
• 2+ years of activities experience, preferably in healthcare; state guidelines may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic recreational assessments to identify member interests and abilities.
• Plan, organize and implement diverse therapy programs; publish calendars and communications.
• Supervise Program Assistants, CNAs, and volunteers; manage staff feedback for evaluations.
• Manage supplies and maintain organized, clean program areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing, transportation, social services and other departments to ensure quality care.
• Participate in staff meetings and cross-functional teamwork to improve member experience.
