Claremont Nursing & Rehab in Pennsylvania is seeking a Recreation / Activities Aide to enhance residents' quality of life by planning engaging activities that support physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.

You will develop recreational and therapeutic activities, support resident participation, and collaborate with staff and families to create a welcoming, caring community. This role emphasizes safety, documentation, and flexibility in shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Therapeutic Recreation preferred.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Experience with residents with cognitive impairment or dementia.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement activities tailored to residents’ needs.
• Foster resident engagement with emotional support and safety.
• Complete documentation and participate in care planning.
• Collaborate with staff, families and vendors to coordinate events.
• Adapt activities to changing resident needs and settings.
• Work indoors and outdoors; support varied shifts and transportation.
