Colonial Group in Philadelphia seeks a Program Assistant to plan and facilitate therapeutic recreational programs for members, assist with daily living activities, serve meals, and help maintain a clean, uplifting environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or 2 years relevant experience) and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask, work a flexible schedule, and lift up to 50 pounds. A background check will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred or a minimum of two years relevant experience.
• At least one-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Prior experience working with seniors or adults with special needs preferred but not required.
• Engaging interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Assist members with activities of daily living and personal care as needed.
• Assist in planning and facilitation of therapeutic recreational programs and encourage participation.
• Serve meals and snacks and assist with feeding as needed.
• Observe members for changes; escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain program areas, supplies, and equipment; ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Ensure safety and a welcoming center; communicate with families and community as needed.
