Job summary

Brunel partners with a mining client in Arizona to recruit a Wellfield Construction Superintendent. You will lead field construction activities, manage crews and contractors, and ensure projects align with engineering designs, safety standards, and schedules.

The role requires strong technical judgment, construction management experience, and the ability to coordinate with Engineering, Drilling, Mine Planning, Environmental and Accounting teams in a fast-paced field setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mining/related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years in engineering, construction management, or field operations within mining or related industries.
• Experience overseeing field construction crews and contractors on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of HDPE piping systems and pipe fusion techniques.
• Experience with pump systems, instrumentation, and process controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day wellfield construction activities and supervise crews/contractors.
• Review designs and apply engineering judgment for improvements and constructability.
• Coordinate site layout, trenching, pipe installation, skid placement, and well alignment.
• Develop and manage construction schedules across multiple projects.
• Monitor performance against budget, schedule, quality, and safety goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, environmental regs, and procedures.
• Coordinate procurement, delivery, and inventory of materials and equipment.
• Maintain construction documentation and QA/QC records.
• Provide progress updates to management on status, risks, and resource needs.
