Job summary

Brunel is partnering with a mining client to hire an Electrical Engineer for an on-site role in Arizona. The position focuses on supporting copper recovery operations through design, maintenance, and optimization of electrical power distribution, automation, and control systems.

The successful candidate will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems, while driving continuous improvement and compliance with NEC/IEEE/OSHA

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
3–5+ years of electrical engineering experience in mining, metals processing, heavy industrial environments.
Experience with electrical power distribution, automation, instrumentation, and process control systems.
Experience with PLC and SCADA platforms, including Siemens and Allen-Bradley.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Design, review, and support electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, and VFDs.
Lead installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of electrical systems for plant upgrades and capital projects.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC/SCADA, instrumentation, and HMI interfaces.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Project teams to ensure safety and reliability.
Support energy efficiency and reliability improvements across the site.
