Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to ensure welding work is safe, compliant, and ready for service. The role requires deep knowledge of MIG, TIG, arc, laser welding, and butt joints on steel and aluminum, with site inspections and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring construction, drafting daily reports, coordinating NDE when needed, witnessing hydrostatic tests, and collaborating with client QA teams to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 8 years' experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Must be able to perform duties with safety, quality and productivity emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections focusing on welding, structural, and civil work.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with standards.
• Draft daily reports highlighting discrepancies or safety issues.
• Coordinate NDE when required and witness hydrostatic testing.
• Collaborate with client QA personnel to meet quality assurance standards.
• Supervise welders and direct work to ensure project completion.
