Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to ensure welding safety and performance as part of the overall structure or device. The role requires familiarity with MIG, TIG, arc, laser and butt welds on steel and aluminum, with NDE responsibilities and hydrostatic testing oversight.

Qualifications

• 8 years of Quality Control experience in the industrial industry.
• Certification/License: Valid Driver's License, TWIC Card, and Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) ASNT Level II in one or more method (PT, UT, RT) preferred or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections at project sites, focusing on welding, structural, and civil work.
• Monitor progress of construction and ensure processes comply with standards.
• Report non-conformities to QA/QC Manager and Project Manager.
• Coordinate inspections to ensure work aligns with client specifications and state laws.
• Witness hydrostatic testing of welded piping or vessels to ensure integrity and compliance.
