Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of welding engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• CWI certification or equivalent experience in NDT methods.
• Proficient in welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and materials.
• Strong understanding of welding codes and specifications (AWS D1.1, ASME IX).
• Experience with weld procedure development, qualification, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding processes for new and existing products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Specify and procure welding equipment, consumables, and tooling.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• Establish and maintain welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification records.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure weldability and manufacturability of components.
