Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team in Baton Rouge, LA. The role involves MIG, TIG, MAG, and stick welding, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet precise specifications. You will work with machinists and assemblers to diagnose issues and complete production on schedule.

Responsibilities include selecting welding methods, setting up tools, performing welds, and maintaining quality records while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have welding experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
• Welder certificate is preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED required; 0–2 years relevant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Select welding method (TIG, MIG, MAG or stick) and plan work from blueprints/spec sheets.
• Set up and operate a lathe for preparation of welded parts.
• Weld, inspect, and repair parts to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with machinists and assemblers to resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery.
• Record accurate data on computer-based systems or logs and maintain a safe workspace.
