Job summary

Flowserve US Inc. is seeking a skilled welder for our Baton Rouge manufacturing team. You will weld components using MIG, MAG, TIG, or electrode methods, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with machinists to meet tight deadlines and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have welding experience in manufacturing or valve environments, HS diploma/GED, and flexibility for overtime. SAP knowledge and post-weld heat treatment are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years relevant experience preferred.
• Post weld heat treatment experience preferred.
• Good technical understanding of welding processes.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Select welding method (TIG, MIG, MAG, or stick)
• Plan and lay out work from blueprints and specs
• Set up/operate a lathe for prep of welded parts
• Identify materials and prepare components
• Perform welding repairs and installations
• Verify quality and conformance to specifications
• Meet production goals and manage scrap and schedules
• Troubleshoot process and equipment problems
• Collaborate with machinists and assemblers to solve issues
• Record data on systems or logs
• Maintain safe workplace and proper PPE usage
• Keep tools and workspace organized
• Perform heat treatment operations as instructed
• Demonstrate customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality
• Work overtime/weekends as required
