Job summary

LGG Industrial in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Welder to prep and weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel parts using a TIG process. You will help maintain a safe working environment and ensure quality workmanship.

The role requires reading blueprints, setting up welding machines, and adhering to Welding Procedure Specifications, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic industrial team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• One year of TIG welding experience.
• Must be able to pass TIG welding test within six weeks.
• Requires the ability to organize and prioritize workload and interact effectively with all types of people.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine welding requirements.
• TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel components based on specifications.
• Set up welding machines and welding cells for production runs.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and operate equipment safely.
