Job summary

Gordon Incorporated in Bossier City, LA seeks a Welder to join its fabrication team. You will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment, performing MIG & TIG welding per drawings and specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring with tape, and maintaining high precision. You will work in a team, ensure safety, and keep tools and area organized for efficient production.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to interpret drawings, blueprints and technical plans.
• Proven capability to weld per design specifications and weld tests.
• Experience reading tape measures and performing precise measurements.
• Solid mathematical understanding related to welding tasks.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Weld, cut, and braze metal pieces using flame-cutting and hand welding.
• MIG & TIG welding as part of fabrication and repair work.
• Plan work orders, gather tools and materials per job specs.
• Repair and fabricate items using cutting, burning, and welding techniques.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping or distortion.
• Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work area; follow safety rules.
