Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a full-time welder for a manufacturing facility in Louisiana. You will weld components using MIG, MAG, TIG, or stick methods and interpret blueprints while coordinating with machinists and assemblers to meet production deadlines.

You will set up and operate equipment, perform repairs and heat treatments as required, maintain safety, and document workmanship and process data. HS diploma and 0–2 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Expertise in MIG, MAG, TIG or stick welding as per job requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturer specification sheets.
• Strong attention to quality and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Select welding method (TIG, MIG, MAG or stick) based on blueprint/specs.
• Plan layout from blueprints and specifications using shop math.
• Set up and operate lathe for preparation of welded parts.
• Identify materials and prepare components for welding.
• Perform welding repairs on raw and finished parts.
• Work to drawings for welding installations and assemblies.
• Complete welding tasks per operation instructions and safety rules.
• Verify finished work meets specifications and workmanship standards.
• Meet production goals for efficiency, schedule and scrap reduction.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and collaborate with machinists.
• Record accurate data in computer systems or logs.
• Maintain safe workspace and protect equipment and personnel.
• Carry out heat treatment operations as instructed.
