Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a senior web engineer to own end-to-end development of Yahoo Mail web features, applying AI-assisted workflows and ensuring performance, security, and accessibility at global scale.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers and designers, and deploy production-ready code in a CI/CD environment while advancing AI-driven tooling across the squad. Apply your strong background in React/Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern tooling to build

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and web performance.
• Deep command of modern web frameworks (React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript) and styling methods.
• Experience with front-end build/test tools (Webpack, Redux Toolkit, Storybook, Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library).
• Experience using AI coding assistants integrated into development workflows.
• Ability to review AI-generated code for security, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, develop, and ship high-impact Yahoo Mail web features, owning end-to-end delivery.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while maintaining architecture integrity and security.
• Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies across the software development lifecycle.
• Balance AI outputs with rigorous manual review to prevent vulnerabilities and regressions.
• Take ownership of key Yahoo Mail web components to scale functionality and UX.
