Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering (or equivalent) with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, software architecture and web performance.
• Deep command of React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern tooling.
• Hands-on with AI coding assistants like Cursor and Claude Code; secure production code.
• Experience shipping high-scale web features in CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, develop, and ship high-impact Yahoo Mail web features end-to-end.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate implementation while preserving quality and security.
• Automate boilerplate and optimize lifecycle with AI-driven workflows.
• Balance AI-generated code with manual review for correctness and security.
• Own end-to-end ownership of key Yahoo Mail web components at scale.
• Perform thorough code reviews and collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional partners.
• Write clean, testable code, deploy, monitor, and maintain large-scale systems.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI-assisted development best practices.
