Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering (or equivalent) with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and web performance.
• Hands-on experience with modern web frameworks and styling methodologies.
• Experience with AI coding assistants integrated into daily workflows.
• Ability to write structured prompts and evaluate AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, develop, and ship high-impact features for Yahoo Mail web products, owning end-to-end delivery.
• AI-First Workflow Orchestration: Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while maintaining architectural integrity, code quality, and security.
• Lifecycle Optimization: Implement AI-driven efficiencies across the software development lifecycle.
• Technical Judgment & Oversight: Balance AI outputs with manual reviews to ensure correctness, security, and accessibility.
• High-Scale Impact: Own Yahoo Mail web components at massive scale.
• Quality & Collaboration: Conduct thorough code reviews and collaborate with PMs, designers, and cross-functional partners.
• Operational Excellence: Write clean, testable code and deploy/monitor large-scale production systems.
• Mentorship & Innovation: Mentor engineers and evaluate new tooling.
