The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art seeks an experienced Website Manager and Developer to lead growth, maintenance, and technical operations of the college’s websites, supporting design, digital marketing, and back-end development with clean code and a secure UX.

5–7+ years of hands-on experience in web development and website management.
Strong understanding of technical SEO, schema markup, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
Experience managing outsourced website hosting environments, DNS records, SSL configurations.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix front-end and back-end bugs, broken links, plugin/theme conflicts, and Website Host issues.
Security & Maintenance: Conduct regular security audits, manage SSL certificates, backups, and cyber threat protection.
Oversight: Develop, implement, and manage all aspects of the college’s plan for web-based media to ensure a unified user experience.
Analytics & Reporting: Track site traffic, user behavior, and conversion metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
Vendor & Resource Management: Oversee hosting providers, domain registrars, and external contractors.
