Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) is seeking a highly organized, process-driven Web Project Manager to join our Web Strategy & Social Media team. In this role, you will serve as the central coordinator for a major website development initiative, including the implementation of a headless CMS architecture. Reporting to the team lead who drives the web product roadmap, you'll work with guidance and direction while independently driving day-to-day project execution.
This is a hands-on project management role that requires someone who excels at translating complex technical initiatives into manageable workflows. You will create the operational backbone for our web development projects: building comprehensive timelines, establishing project milestones, organizing and facilitating meetings, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring all parties deliver on their commitments. You thrive in environments where multiple teams must work in concert, and you have the diplomatic skills to keep vendors accountable while supporting internal teams through periods of significant technical change. Your ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences will be essential as you bridge conversations between developers, content strategists, marketing leadership, and business stakeholders. This role is for someone with exceptional organizational skills and personal accountability who has the ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders through strong communication skills, proactive follow-up, and a solutions-oriented approach to obstacle resolution.
The ideal candidate loves managing creative and technical projects, supporting cross-functional teams to do their best work to successfully achieve a common goal. You have a strategic mindset and can think about the bigger picture of how your work contributes to the GSB's digital transformation. Beyond project coordination, you will roll up your sleeves to participate in defining requirements and perform quality assurance testing on new features and functionality, ensuring that we meet the user experience standards expected of a world-class institution. You're comfortable working with web technologies and tools — while you won't be coding, you understand enough about Drupal, headless CMS architectures, HTML5/CSS, and web analytics to ask intelligent questions, identify potential issues, and facilitate productive technical discussions.
