Job summary
The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art seeks an experienced Website Manager and Developer to oversee growth, maintenance, and technical needs of the Union's websites. You will support design, digital marketing, and back-end development, writing clean code and managing the CMS to deliver a secure UX.
You will work with the CTO, Admissions, Development, and Communications to ensure a unified user experience, analyze traffic with Google Analytics, and supervise hosting, DNS, SSL,
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of hands-on web development and site management experience.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, schema markup, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
- Experience managing outsourced hosting environments, DNS records, and SSL configurations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and fix front-end and back-end bugs, broken links, plugin conflicts, and Website Host issues.
- Implement regular security audits, manage SSL certificates, backups, and protection against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with the CTO, Admissions, Development, Communications, and Deans to manage web-based media and ensure a consistent user experience.
- Track site traffic, user behavior, and conversions with Google Analytics to drive data-backed improvements.
- Oversee third-party hosting providers, domain registrations, and external technical contractors or tools.
