Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking Weapon System Engineers to support the Laboratory's nuclear weapon stockpile operations mission. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to analyze system performance, support qualification activities, and ensure safety, performance, and reliability across warhead components.

Roles may offer a hybrid schedule with some in-person and remote work; candidates should be prepared for occasional travel and to advance program milestones

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Experience with systems engineering principles and GD&T.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering knowledge to resolve moderate to complex issues.
• Support system performance modeling, trade studies, failure analysis, and risk management.
• Lead engineering test planning, data analysis, and write technical reports.
• Review producibility and manufacturability issues and provide solutions.
• Participate in technical reviews and program meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
