Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an Industrial Safety Professional to support programs within the Environment, Safety and Health Directorate. The role will involve safety evaluations, incident investigations, and collaboration with scientists and engineers to resolve safety concerns.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with some days in the office and some remote work after a probationary period, and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical or health and safety related field.
• DOE Q-level security clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience preparing safety plans, audits, inspections and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive industrial safety support for LLNL programs and operations.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate activities, conduct H&S evaluations and inspections, and advise on safety improvements.
• Review audits, recommend corrective actions and ensure compliance.
• Develop safety solutions with scientists and engineers; write technical reports.
• Review safety documents and develop discipline plans with management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
