Job summary

Argo Group seeks a highly capable Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment, potentially working remotely from anywhere in the United States.

The role handles highly complex indemnity WC claims in SC and VA, with employment as a contingent worker and an end date around October 9, 2026. Overtime may be required. A strong focus on accuracy, collaboration, and client service is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in SC and VA.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
• SC license required at start of assignment.
• Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for degree.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance operations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other business-related software.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Coordinate with experts to assist in case resolution.
• Prepare reports and document file activity; set reserves.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with insured and claimants.
• Maintain timely diaries and ensure cases move toward resolution.
• Demonstrate professional, client-focused service.
